If your clinic already lives in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, you can sign in with that account and skip a separate password. ClinyPal still enforces the clinic's two-factor rule on top.

How it works

If the sign-in page shows Continue with Google or Continue with Microsoft, you can sign in to ClinyPal with that account instead of typing a password. The Google or Microsoft account must use the same email address as your ClinyPal user. Whether the buttons appear depends on what your clinic's ClinyPal region has switched on.

Signing in this way skips the emailed sign-in code, since that code would go to the same inbox. An authenticator app, if you have one set up, is still asked for.

The first time you select Continue with Google or Microsoft for an account that already has a password, ClinyPal asks for that password once. This stops someone who has taken over an old email address at Google or Microsoft from walking into your clinic's records. There are two ways to do it:

  • From the sign-in page. Select the button and approve the sign-in with Google or Microsoft. You're brought to Link your Google account, which says a ClinyPal account already uses that email. Enter your ClinyPal password and select Link and sign in. You have 10 minutes; after that the page says the link has expired and you start again.
  • From your user, while signed in. Open your own user under Users & Practitioners, select Manage next to Linked accounts, and select Connect beside Google or Microsoft. You're sent to that provider to approve and come back to the message Account connected.
A Linked accounts dialog listing Google with the user's email and a Disconnect button, and Microsoft marked Not connected with a Connect button.
The Linked accounts settings showing Google connected to the user's email and Microsoft not connected.

From then on, the button signs you straight in. If the provider's email doesn't match any ClinyPal user you'll see We couldn't find your ClinyPal account. Try your email and password instead. Check which Google or Microsoft account you approved with.

Disconnect it

Open your user, select Manage next to Linked accounts, select Disconnect beside the provider and confirm with Disconnect again (Keep cancels). You'll need your ClinyPal password to sign in afterward. If you signed up with Google or Microsoft and never set a password, set one first through Forgot password? so you don't lock yourself out.
