Payment types are the ways patients pay, and they're what the daily takings are totaled by. Remove the ones you don't accept so nobody picks them.

Your list

Payment types are the methods offered on every payment form and used to total the day's takings by method on the Payments page and in the Payment summary report. A new clinic starts with Cash, Card and Bank Transfer; a system type Account credit also exists, used when an invoice is settled from the patient's credit, and it can't be chosen as a way of paying. Open Settings, then Payment Types, add a type with a Name such as Cash, Card, Bank transfer or Health fund, and save; it's available at once.

Archive a type you stop accepting rather than deleting it. Past payments keep it, so old reports still read correctly; it disappears from new payment forms. Unarchive it to bring it back.

This list is one for the whole clinic; every location uses it, and there's nothing to set up again when you add a location.

Types ClinyPal manages

Connecting Stripe, PayPal or Square under Apps Integration adds a payment type with that name, used for every online deposit and payment link paid through it. These can't be renamed or archived here (This payment type is managed by an integration); disconnecting the provider is what retires them. Payments made from a patient's account credit are recorded under a system type as well, so they show separately from cash and card.
