Sometimes you need to text one patient right now: running late, parking, results are in. It's one dialog on the record, with your saved texts a click away.

Open the patient's record and select the SMS action on the header

It's available when the patient has a mobile number. The Send by SMS dialog opens.

Choose To, and optionally a Template

To lists the patient's mobile numbers. Template offers your saved texts or — Write your own —.

Write or adjust the Message, then Send

SMS sent confirms it. The message, its number and its status appear in the patient's communication log.

Each 160 characters is one SMS credit, and the message is refused if the balance can't cover it: Not enough SMS credits. Balance: 2, needed: 3. Replies from the patient come back to ClinyPal and can be forwarded; see SMS settings.

Saved texts for things you send often

Under Settings, then SMS templates, keep the messages you type repeatedly: running late, parking instructions, a results-ready note. Each has a name and the message, with Patient and Business placeholders. They're offered in the Template list above and nowhere else; the automatic confirmation, reminder, cancellation and follow-up texts have their own pages.

Saved texts are one list for the whole clinic.
