Credit the clinic holds for patients is a liability, and the accountant will ask for the total at year end. This report lists it per patient.
What it shows
Patient credit balances lists every patient at the location with account credit, a snapshot with no date range, needing the financial reports permission, which Administrators and Bookkeepers have. Credit comes from overpayments, prepayments, refunds to credit and canceled deposits; see Account credit and opening balances. Headline figures: Patients with credit, Largest balance, Avg balance; columns Patient, Credit balance.
Acting on it
Credit is money the clinic owes patients. Large or old balances are worth a message, because a patient who has moved away can be refunded, and a patient about to be deleted must have their credit refunded or used first. The total is what your accountant needs for the liability figure.
