How automatic messages work
Which messages ClinyPal sends on its own, where each template lives, how a template gets linked to an appointment type, and the rules that decide whether a given patient receives it.
Placeholders
Every placeholder you can put in a message, letter or invoice email, what it fills in with, and which templates offer it.
Confirmation messages
Write the email and SMS a patient gets when an appointment is booked or moved, add the calendar attachment and address, and link them to appointment types.
Reminder messages
Send email and SMS reminders a set number of days before the visit, in a sending window, skipping weekends, and link them to appointment types.
Cancellation messages
Write what the patient receives when an appointment is canceled, by staff or by their own link, and know when it's sent regardless of their preferences.
Follow-up messages
Send a message a set time after a visit, only to patients who attended, or who haven't rebooked, and mark it as marketing where it is.
Send a one-off SMS to a patient
Text a patient from their record, with or without one of your saved SMS templates, and see the cost and the result.
Send a broadcast
Message a group of patients at once by email, SMS or both: choose the audience, see who matches, split into groups or send one message, check the SMS cost, send, and resend to anyone who failed.
SMS credits and settings
What an SMS credit costs and covers, topping up by card, automatic top-up, the low-balance email, and where patient replies go.

Find out why a confirmation, reminder, SMS or broadcast didn't reach a patient, from the communication log status to the settings that stop a message.
